The following positions are currently available at YWCA Bradford:
Victims' Resource Center
Prevention Educator/Counselor (full-time)
This position:
- provides education on the prevention of domestic violence and sexual assault to both adults and children through school and community based presentations.
- Instrumental in the training of other professionals in the community on the issues surrounding domestic violence and sexual assault.
- Provides daily support, information, counseling, and advocacy to domestic violence and/or sexual assault survivors requesting program services.
Bachelor’s degree in education, child development, or human services, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, including a minimum of two years spent working or volunteering with a domestic violence/sexual assault program. Experience working with children in a school setting and with public speaking desired.
Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Program
Specialists to support individuals with mental illness and/or disabilities (full-time)
Experience is preferred but not required. This position assists and educates individuals with a mental health diagnosis and/or a developmental disability to empower independent living. Basic computer skills are necessary. Ability to organize and manage multiple work tasks efficiently and adapt readily to frequent change, as well as communicate effectively with a diverse array of people. People skills are a must.
