Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Program

Specialists to support individuals with mental illness and/or disabilities (full-time)

Experience is preferred but not required. This position assists and educates individuals with a mental health diagnosis and/or a developmental disability to empower independent living. Basic computer skills are necessary. Ability to organize and manage multiple work tasks efficiently and adapt readily to frequent change, as well as communicate effectively with a diverse array of people. People skills are a must.

YWCA Facilities Manager

The YWCA Bradford seeks a full-time Facilities Manager to oversee the management of six (6) facilities. Salary range: $55,000-$65,000

This position:

  • Ensures a pleasant and clean environment for YWCA employees, program participants and visitors by coordinating, supervising and performing maintenance projects at YWCA facilities.
  • Supervises custodial employees and community workers, and acts as a team lead to volunteers and contractors.

Requirements:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least one (1) year experience in general maintenance.
  • Five (5) years experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry preferred.

Employment is conditional upon Child Protection Services and Criminal Records (State Police and FBI)

YWCA Executive Director

The YWCA Bradford seeks a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director. Salary range: $70,000 - $80,000.

This position:

  • Is responsible for effective and forward-looking YWCA administration, services, and advocacy.
  • Sets the tone of the organization, creating and sustaining an environment conducive to unity around the mission and strategic direction, forward momentum, collaboration, and diversity in representation and thinking.
  • Integrates information from nonprofits trends, development, and effectiveness into planning process and deliberations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, social work, or relevant field and 5-10 years of nonprofit experience. Master's degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with leadership staff using a supportive and empowering approach.
  • Prior proven grant-writing experience with government and private entities.
  • Experience overseeing a budget with multifaced financials, including experiences with Uniform Guide rules and requirements.
  • Ability to work with other nonprofit groups, spearhead fundraising and public relations.
  • Be familiar with the ins and outs of government programs.
  •  Work with an all-volunteer board to achieve short-term and long-term goals.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and agreement with the YWCA mission.
  • Current valid driver's license and working automobile with current license and inspection available during working hours.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Align all efforts with the YWCA mission and YWCA standards.
  • Work with and report to the Board of Directors.
  • Present relevant, quality services and knowledgeable, enthusiastic and consistent leadership staff.
  • Sustain a high level of staff performance and morale.
  • Steadily increase public knowledge of YWCA strengths and accomplishments, attract and engage new supporters, and renew/increase number of supporters.
  • Meet financial and building obligations
  • Network with relevant service and advocacy organizations, locally, regionally, and nationally.
  • Maintain responsible membership with the YWCA USA and active links with the YWCA USA.
