Swig & Swine

Things may not have been the same, but what’s better than live entertainment, good eats and spirits?  What about, all of this from the comfort of your own home, or wherever you choose, surrounded by your family and friends?

in 2020, the YWCA Bradford went virtual with our 3rd annual Swig & Swine, our signature event.

Our organization serves individuals throughout McKean County, but it is difficult to find a centralized location and concept for an event that would draw people from the entire County. The fact there’s virtually no barrier to attendance, other than internet access, means the invitation list is endless. Those who could not otherwise be away from their family, afford to travel, or have health and mobility concerns, can now attend.  We are hoping  people from all over our service area and beyond will join us for some live entertainment.

The entire event took place on the Swig & Swine event page https://www.facebook.com/events/253839082266581/?active_tab=about, which can be found on the YWCA Bradford Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/YWCABradford/.

This allowed people to join us safely from wherever they were enjoying their Saturday, so all they needed to do is login to Facebook and join the Facebook Live event.  It’s simple, but if people aren’t sure how it works, follow us on Facebook and you will find links to attend our virtual events.

Piggy Party Packs

We wanted to incorporate a fun way to allow our attendees to host their own Swig & Swine parties from wherever they may be joining us. The piggy party packs include everything you need, except the food and beverages, to host your remote Swig & Swine party while tuning into the virtual event for some great musical entertainment.

  • For $10, each piggy party pack receives 2 stainless steel Swig & Swine cups, 1 pig nose, paper plates, napkins, plastic utensils and fun piggy bibs for everyone. The family packs have extras for the children, while the adult version includes a Swig & Swine koozie and has cocktails in mind.
  • Additional items are available through the à la carte menu. Check out the unique pig ear headbands!
  • Piggy party packs were picked up at our drive-thru tailgate party at the Bradford Club, 32 Boylston Street, Bradford, PA. Arrangements can be made to pick up the Swig & Swine supplies by contacting us at marketing@ywcabradford.org or calling the YWCA at (814) 368-4235.

Our beloved friend, Swiggy (the pig) is always on hand for some added fun.  As long as the weather cooperates, Swiggy will be out and about, but he worries about roasting when the temperature begins to rise.
